JAK Apps is the working name for the product and client practice of Josh Kostreva — an engineer who has spent the last several years shipping web and iOS software end to end.
Beyond client work, the studio designs and runs its own software. Every recommendation comes from someone who has shipped, maintained, and lived with products in production — not just pitched them in a deck.

Principles
Four things I won't bend on.
Ship the smallest useful thing.
Most software fails by getting too big before it reaches a real user. We start narrow on purpose so you learn fast and spend less.
One person accountable.
The person who scopes the work writes the code, launches it, and answers when something breaks. No handoffs, no finger-pointing.
Honest about tradeoffs.
If you don't need a custom build — or AI, or a redesign — I'll tell you. Bad work is more expensive than no work.
Built to last.
Security, backups, and reliability are baked in, not bolted on. I build like you'll have real customers, because you will.
